ANNUAL EVENTS
Business at Noon luncheons
The Business at Noon luncheon program offers members an
opportunity to network as well as hear from speakers from around the area. Each
year, local leaders are invited to share current events and news with over 100
people from the business community. Every year the mayor and the county judge
executive deliver their "state of the city" and "state of the county" addresses
respectively. Luncheons take place on the third Friday of the month in the
Perkins Building on the campus of EKU.
Thursday Night Live
The Chamber's after-hours program named Thursday Night Live is the venue in
which members meet and greet and make new business contacts. Hors d'oeuvres
and adult beverages are served at various host sites. There are
traditionally 8-10 events per year.
Commerce Awards
With its 23 year history and guest list comprised of
nearly 400 of Madison County's top business leaders and entrepreneurs, the
Commerce Awards Banquet has become one of Richmond's premiere events. This
event takes place in the Keen Johnson ballroom on the campus of EKU and
honors those who give so much to our community and Chamber.
Annual Golf Tournament
The Chamber of Commerce hosts a golf tournament each year in May. This event
is our largest fundraiser. With 144 players, this is one of the largest
tournaments in Madison County.
CityFest
CityFest is an annual event held on the campus of EKU. It
offers a fun, exciting way for members to highlight their businesses to an
audience of more than 1,500 people. Entertainment and free food make
CityFest an event that college students look forward to each year.
Approximately 100 businesses set up booths to introduce their products
and/or services to returning students as well as a whole new market of
incoming EKU freshmen.
